Every day
Home
Today at a glance: who arrives and leaves, what needs you, the cleaners, the month's money and the next 30 nights.
What is on it
Under the greeting it reads "Nothing needs you right now.", or how many things to fix first and how many are waiting on you.
Today's tiles: "Check-ins" and "Checkouts" jump to the day board, "Cleanings" (done out of planned) opens Tasks, "Booked tonight" the calendar.
"Needs you" lists booking requests with their time left, guests waiting for a reply, cleanings nobody has, and automatic messages held or not sent. Each row has one button: "Answer", "Reply", "Assign", "Set up", "Add it" or "Look".
The day board switches between "Today" and "Tomorrow": who checks in, who checks out and who is staying, with the next step on each row and "Same-day turnover" where the next guest arrives the same day.
"Cleaners today", "The week ahead", "month so far" ("What you keep", earned and expected, one row per channel) and "Next 30 nights" fill the rest.
Fix these first
A red strip at the top shows what is wrong: two stays on the same night at a unit, or a unit that isn't reaching Airbnb or Booking.com. Each "Fix" opens the unit's calendar.
The buttons at the top
- 1"Block nights" opens the calendar to close nights.
- 2"Assign cleanings" opens Tasks.
- 3"Invite an owner" opens Owners.
What Hostomat does by itself
- Home updates live as bookings, messages and cleanings change. A read-only person sees the changes on a reload.
- A request shows its time left against the channel's own deadline; a waiting guest turns amber after an hour.
- Only money checked against the channel's own record counts; the rest shows as "n nights are still being checked and not counted yet."
- "Is everything working" shows what came in and reached the channels; while units import, and for a week after the first goes live, it sits at the top.
If it didn’t work
- It says "Add your properties".
- Nothing is connected yet. An admin presses "Add properties" to connect your Airbnb, or "Invite an owner" to let an owner connect theirs.
- A number looks wrong.
- The "?" beside a figure says how it is worked out. Money counts only once it is checked, so a new booking's money may still be on its way.
- I see no money and no buttons.
- A read-only person sees no money, guest names or buttons at the top. An owner has only "Block nights" there, on their own homes.
