Who you are
I'm an owner
Your homes are run by a manager in Hostomat, and you use the same app on them: your calendar, your guests, your bookings and money, your statements.
Getting in
- 1Open the link your manager sent you. It works for 30 days, for you alone. Press "Create your login" (Google, or a password).
- 2Press "Continue to Airbnb" and approve it on your Airbnb account. Back here, tick the listings your manager runs and press "Bring in n listings"; the rest stay as they are.
- 3Once they are in, press "See your homes". From then on you sign in at hostomat.io.
- 4If your manager connected your homes already ("Your homes are already in."), the link only makes your login.
What you see
Home, Calendar, Messages, Bookings, Tasks, Listings, your Website if your manager made you one, Statements, Analytics, Opportunities, Seroia and Settings, each showing your own homes only. You read and answer your guests' messages, see every booking's money, change prices and minimum stays, block nights, edit the listing, list and unlist on Airbnb. Every change is logged under your name.
What stays your manager's: other owners, the team and its notes, billing, connecting new homes (through their link), switching dynamic pricing on (they pay for it; you can switch it off), the account's settings, and the words of the automatic messages (you can skip or reword one for your guest).
Full access or Look only
Your manager picks one. On Look only you see everything on your homes and change nothing; a line above every page says so.
Your statements
Statements lists every month your manager sent, as it was sent; open one for "Download PDF". Anything that moves later is a correction on the next one.
Your site and your Stripe
- 1Your site, if your manager made you one, is under Website. For payments, open Settings, then "Payments", and press "Connect with Stripe": guests pay straight into your own Stripe. Until it reads "Payments are on", the site takes requests only.
One thing to do on your Airbnb
Once your manager sends automatic messages, a line above every page asks you to switch off your own scheduled messages on Airbnb (and Booking.com's templates), or guests get two of everything: "Show me how" gives the steps, and "It's done" tells your manager.
Stop working together
In Settings, under "Working together", "Stop working together" ends it at once: your Airbnb and Booking.com accounts leave your manager's Hostomat and your listings stay live as they are; their messages and cleanings for your homes stop; your homes come off their website and your own site goes offline; your Stripe is disconnected from Hostomat; after that you keep only your past statements.
What Hostomat does by itself
- News of your homes reaches you on WhatsApp once your manager lets owners hear it and you connect your number: a new booking, a cancellation, dates moving, your statement.
- Seroia answers you about your own homes, with 20 questions a month of your own.
If it didn’t work
- The link says it no longer works.
- It ended after 30 days, was stopped, or your manager sent a newer one. Ask them for a new link.
- "This link is for email".
- You are signed in with another address. Press "Sign out" and sign in with the one it was sent to.
- I can't change anything.
- You are on Look only, or your manager's Hostomat is read-only for now; the line above every page says which. Ask your manager.
